About Brandon Boyd:

Brandon Boyd’s life is one characterized by creativity and self-expression. As a very young boy he often carried sketchbooks and notepads, and though he was never formally trained, over the years he has developed that young habit into an inextricable part of his adult life. In 1991 he began singing and writing lyrics with high school friends in what would be come the multi-platinum and internationally recognized rock band, Incubus. Brandon is the author of three books combining his artwork and creative writing: White Fluffy Clouds (2003), From the Murks of the Sultry Abyss (2007), and So The Echo (September, 2013).  Timing a new book alongside new music, he also released Sons of The Sea in September, a collaboration between he and acclaimed producer Brendan O’Brien.  In the winter of 2014 the group played sold out shows in LA, NY and The Fillmore in San Francisco.  Shifting creative gears in his own unique and versatile way, Brandon showcased his visual art In Europe for the first time in March, participating in an exhibition in Zurich followed by book signings and Q&A’s in Paris and London. This fall he will again travel overseas with his visual art for a gallery exhibit in Rome and other cities.

I'm aiming to have people SEE the music and HEAR the art. Using a modern app, we're able to take Kandinsky's Synesthesia to a whole new level."

Serj Tankian was on born August 21, 1967 in Beirut, Lebanon and is an Armenian-American singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, painter and political activist. He is best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter, keyboardist and occasional live rhythm guitarist of the metal band System of a Down. During his musical career, Tankian has released five albums with System of a Down, one with Arto Tunçboyacıyan (Serart), as well as four solo albums Elect the Dead,Imperfect Harmonies, Harakiri, and Orca, his first real classical symphony. A live orchestral version of Elect the Dead incorporating the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra named Elect the Dead Symphony was released in 2009. He's also released 2 books of poetry, Cool Gardens and Glaring Through Oblivion. In 2002, Tankian and Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello co-founded a non-profit organization, Axis of Justice. Tankian also founded the record label Serjical Strike Records and in 2011 he was awarded the Armenian Prime Minister's Medal for his contributions to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the advancement of music.  For more information on Serj please visit http://www.serjtankian.com

INDIAN LARRY: Photographs by Timothy White

Whether a motorcycle enthusiast or not the upcoming photography exhibit at PROJECT Gallery will make anyone a fan of Indian Larry. Perhaps one of the most beloved figures to ever exist in the motorcycle world, after a past of drug abuse and homelessness, he would become known equally for the mind bending choppers he created as he would his wild antics, tattoos, generosity, and his carnivalesque character and stunts.  Larry Desmedt is quite the interesting subject.

For acclaimed celebrity photographer Timothy White who has shot legends and icons for over twenty years, Larry was all that and more. The two became longtime friends and riding partners and Larry would become one of White’s most profound subjects. White immortalized the late motorcycle builder in a previously published book, and the exhibit at PROJECT Gallery is the LA premiere retrospective excerpted from the book.
